Bathroom Re-do!

We decided to give our blah-beach-themed a much needed kick in the pants!  We used two shades of paint--one grayish and one purple. They are from Lowe's, but I cannot remember the exact shades.  The accessories are from Bed, Bath and Beyond. The artwork is from art.com, and the blinds are from Home Depot.  I am loving this more luxurious bathroom!

Baby Stuff

Well, all is still quiet on this front. The good news is that our spirits are good, and we are still moving in the baby direction.  I met with Rebecca from The Pink Orange, who is both an extremely talented designer and a very good friend, to update our profile.  We added a bunch of new and (we hope) pictures that show our life together.  I am so excited to see the draft!!

Also, I snagged some great buys at a garage sale today!

Sock Monkey: $1  I LOVE LOVE LOVE him!
Elephant: $1
Bath Tub: $2
Baby Einstein Play Mat: $5

Photo Updates!

Jess' Baby Shower is tomorrow, and Amanda and I made a diaper cake and onesie cupcakes!

Mattie and Fen got BIG haircuts!

We are loving the time we spend at the lake!

What's new

1.  I started my summer job at the Victoria Pool, and it has been great.  The money is good, the customers are interesting, and it is outside.  It is daytime work, which is nice.  The only real downside is that it is sweltering.  The bar is under the green tent on the right-hand side of the photo, and boy can that tent trap heat. Phew!

2.  We took our annual trip to Maine during the last week of June.  We had a great time! We had 2 days of rain and 2 perfect beach days. We ate out a lot, went shopping, went to the beach, played mini-golf, and visited with my in-laws.   We also took some pictures for our updated adoption profile (more on that later).

3. Boston!  Dave surprised me with a night in Boston at the end of our Maine trip.  We stayed in the hotel where we got engaged, ate at Vlora, and took a tour of Fenway! (The Fenway tour will get it's own post.)
